Dr. J. W. Rodney Peyton

OBE — Co-Founder, President & Medical Director

Dr. Peyton is a consultant trauma surgeon, author, and internationally recognized surgical educator with a decades-long commitment to training and patient safety. An expert witness since 1983 and a founding member of the Expert Witness Institute, he brings deep clinical rigor to complex negligence matters. His credentials include BSc (Hons), MSc (Medical Education), MD, FRCS (Eng, Edin, Glasg & Ire), FRCP (Lond), PGDL. Honors include Miller Professor of Surgery (University of Johannesburg), leadership roles with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, recognition for advancing ATLS in Ireland, and authorship of the best-selling Appraisal & Assessment in Medical Practice

At Peyton AI, Dr. Peyton leads the clinical taxonomy and protocols behind our triage engine (standards of care, causation/red-flag mapping, injury timelines), chairs human-in-the-loop oversight, and partners on safety, fairness, and compliance to ensure every workflow is rigorous and HIPAA/GDPR compliant.
